What is a box break and how does it work?
A box break is a way to split up the contents of a booster box into slots prior to opening the box. We will be recording the opening of the box and distribute the cards based on the slot it is in. This is a special designed box break with only 4 slots based on the Final Fantasy Series as labeled on the bottom left of the cards after the card number. The series included in each slot are:
- Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI
- Final Fantasy VII, XVI
- Final Fantasy VIII, IX, X
- Final Fantasy XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV
Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy is packed with powerful and collectible cards such as:
- Vivi Ornitier
- Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER
- Summon: Bahamut
- Gogo, Master of Mimicry
- Starting Town
- Jumbo Cactuar
- And many more!
What am I buying?
You are buying one slot in this box break. Both the names of the winners and the names of the slots will be entered into the list randomizer at random.org. Buying multiple slots will increase your chances of getting the colors you want, and buying all slots will get you ALL the cards from the booster box.
What happens next?
Once we have assigned the slots to specific winners, we will break open the box and sort all the cards into the 4 different slots. You will receive ALL the cards in your assigned slot. For example, if you are assigned the Final Fantasy I-VI slot and we open up a Battle Menu from a pack, that will be yours. If you are assigned to the Final Fantasy VII & XVI slot and we pull a Ambrosia Whiteheart? That’s yours to keep!
Are Commons and Uncommons included?
We will send out ALL the cards in your assigned slot including commons and uncommons. For example, if we pull a Adelbert Steiner it will go to the Final Fantasy VIII-X slot.
What about the box topper?
If a box topper is included in the box, it will be given out to one of the slots using wheelofnames.com. Art cards & tokens will be randomly distributed across the slots. For the Final Fantasy break, tokens will go into the slot based on the series as indicated in the lower left of the card.
When will the box break start?
Participants will be notified once the break is scheduled.
