MTG Zendikar Rising Set Booster Box

We opened our first Zendikar Rising Set Booster Box yesterday, and we want to share some data points:

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqi3bUVV6Yw

From the ZNR set

  • 5 Mythic Rare, 30 Rare

  • Value for Rare/Mythic Rare cards over $2, $58.21

  • Box topper: Marsh Flats, $40

From “the list”

MTG Imperious Perfect

Signed Art cards, although we don’t think these prices will hold:

  • Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients, $15

  • Prismatic Vista, $20

MTG Prismatic VistaMTG Nahiri

Total for the box: $104 (w/o the art cards), $139 (w/ the art cards)

Overall, we can’t justify the premium (especially now with the supply shortage) for a Set Booster Box vs a Draft Booster Box. As you can see, most of the value came from the expedition box topper which is also included in a Draft Booster Box. It’s fun to see old cards from “the list” but there definitely isn’t much value for that slot. You only get 30 packs vs. 36 packs from the Draft Booster Box. The signed art cards are pretty but since they are not actual cards, we think they will drop in value.
